Experience the sheer exhilaration of freefall with this 12,000ft Tandem Skydive, in Plettenberg Bay. Jump with the support and guidance of highly-qualified Tandem Masters in one of the world’s most picturesque drop zones.
Situated in the scenic heart of the Garden Route, the centre has been operating in South Africa since 2002, with a crew who boast decades’ worth of experience between them. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your Tandem instructor, receive a briefing and get fitted with a harness, jumpsuit and goggles. The flight to altitude takes around 20 minutes and offers stunning views of the Plettenberg Bay coastline and Robberg peninsula. If you’re lucky, whales and dolphins can also be spotted in season! As you approach altitude, you’ll be attached to your instructor’s harness and – at a height of over 3.5 kilometres – the two of you will exit the plane. During the next 40 seconds’ freefall, you’ll reach speed of up to 200 kilometres per hour, before your parachute is automatically released – bringing your descent to a gentler pace. You can now really savour those views as you glide under canopy back to earth. As you touch down safely on the airstrip, you’ll be grinning ear to ear and already planning your next dive!

Tandem skydives can be booked seven days a week throughout the year, subject to availability.
There is no minimum age, but participants under 18 need written consent from a parent or guardian. Participants must also be big enough to get safely strapped into the harness. If you are concerned then please enquire before purchasing.

The flight to altitude takes approximately twenty minutes, then there's 35 seconds of free fall and 5-6 minutes of parachuting back to earth.

Six people can jump every half an hour.
Spectators are welcome to watch from the airfield.Jumpers should wear comfortable clothing with shoes that won't fall off. Glasses and contact lenses are allowed, and you're permitted to bring a camera. Jump suits are provided.
Tandem skydiving is a weather dependant activity, meaning it can be cancelled in particularly high winds or low clouds.
If a cancellation occurs, the experience will be rescheduled.
