Snorkel With Seals at The V&A Waterfront

Swim with seals during this unique two-hour snorkeling trip off Cape Town’s Atlantic coastline. Depart from the V&A Waterfront and join experienced guides for the wildlife-spotting adventure of a lifetime!

You’ll meet at the dive shop, where they’ll be some paperwork to complete before an informative guides’ briefing. Once that’s over, you’ll collect your snorkeling equipment and take a scenic boat ride to the seal colony. On the way, you’ll pass some of the Cape’s most iconic landmarks, including Lion’s Head and the Twelve Apostles. There will also be opportunities to spot penguins, dolphins, sunfish and whales! When you arrive at the seal colony—one of the largest on the Atlantic seaboard—you’ll enter the water with PADI professional guides in tow. Here, you’ll learn all about the Cape fur seals’ natural habitat and behavior, while they swim all around. Playful and inquisitive by nature, seals often approach snorkelers for a closer look—so don’t be surprised if they swim right up to you!
