You’ll meet at the dive shop, where there'll be some paperwork to complete before a quick briefing. Once that’s over, you’ll collect your equipment and head to the canals. Here, your guides will give a crash course in stand-up paddleboarding, starting with the proper carrying method and paddling technique. You’ll also cover the different types of turn, self-rescue, falling safely and reading weather/environmental conditions. Once you’re feeling confident (it won’t take long—honest!), you’ll set off on a guided tour of the waterways. The V&A Waterfront may be one of the most visited destinations in Africa, but we bet few people have seen it from this perspective!
